Safari Overview ↓
Explore not only the iSimangaliso Wetland Park and the province of KwaZulu-Natal, but the impressive and well-known Kruger National Park and the landlocked Kingdom of Swaziland as well, with this safari.
Our 7 Day Kruger Park, Swaziland And KwaZulu-Natal Safari gives you ample opportunities to explore these sites on foot, by boat and on game drives, too! Plus an optional excursion on horseback can be arranged on the eastern shores of Lake St Lucia for those that would like to add something extra to their safari.
What to Expect ↓
Day 1: Gauteng to Kruger National Park
When you embark on our 7 Day Kruger Park, Swaziland And KwaZulu-Natal Safari, we’ll do pick-ups and leave our departure point in Johannesburg between 06:00 and 07:00. The drive to the Kruger National Park takes us past open fields and lush landscapes and mountains. We do stop for lunch (for your own expense) at some point and are scheduled to arrive at the Kruger in the afternoon.
You’ll have a chance to settle into your room and freshen up, and shortly after that, it’ll be time to go on your first game drive and Kruger wildlife safari. Get ready to spot many of the Kruger’s majestic wildlife and bird species, all while getting to know your fellow guests.
In the evening, our chefs will delight you with a fantastic dinner menu. (Dinner Included)
Day 2: A Full Day in the Kruger National Park
We’ll wake up bright and early on this day in order to catch the wildlife out and about, while on our game drive. Better still, watching the sun light up the Kruger is a special sighting in itself! There will be tea and coffee available to enjoy before the drive as well as a snack. Depending on what the time the gates open, which varies from season to season, we’ll embark on a three to four-hour long game drive. During that time, you’ll get to learn about the Kruger, the wildlife and the various bird species that can be found in the park.
After the game drive, brunch will be served back at our camp. You can never have too much leisure time on a holiday and our safaris are no different – there’s plenty to do around the camp, including walking around and exploring it, catching a nap in your room or paying a visit to the curio shop.
In the afternoon, it’ll be time for your second Kruger wildlife safari for the day, in our 4×4 open game drive vehicles. You’ll end your day with a superb dinner and some light-hearted conversation with your fellow guests, before turning in for the night. (Breakfast & Dinner Included)
Day 3: Kruger National Park to Swaziland
On this morning in the Kruger National Park, we’ll wake up early and embark on one last safari in search of the Big 5 or any other wildlife that you have not yet seen. Breakfast will be enjoyed on the road, as we make our way to the scenic and majestic Swaziland.
The drive takes us past beautiful mountainous terrain, urban areas, open fields and more! We’ll also have the opportunity to stop for lunch en-route (own expense).
We’ll be staying in one of Swaziland’s stunning National Parks on this day – an exciting and unique lodging experience indeed. Dinner is sure to be a delicious affair, and you’ll be able to get to know your fellow guests better, while chatting about your favourite part of the trip thus far. (Breakfast & Dinner Included)
Day 4: Swaziland to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve
After a restful sleep, we’ll say goodbye to this culturally-rich destination and head to South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal province. Driving past open bush areas and picturesque hills and fields, the next stop on our journey will be the Hilltop Camp at Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve.
Keep those eyes peeled and be sure to have your binoculars and camera ready during your afternoon safari – there’s plenty of majestic animals to see in this reserve. It’ll then be time for dinner, served under the starry and bright African sky (weather permitting).
Day 5: A Day in Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve
You’ll get to make the most of your time in the reserve today with an awesome wildlife safari. From the Big 5 to cheetah, kudu, zebra, giraffe and the wonderful birdlife, you’re sure to experience several unforgettable sightings.
Sunset Drives are truly amazing and, after dinner, you’ll get to go on one with a KwaZulu-Natal Parks guide. They’re conducted in their open, 4×4 vehicles and the drive gives you the chance to try and spot the wildlife that are most active towards the end of the day. (Breakfast & Dinner Included)
Day 6: Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve to Dolphin Coast
We’ll start our day with a morning safari with our guide, in a closed vehicle. Then it’s on to the iSimangaliso Wetland Park – a place of miracle and wonder. With lake systems and ecosystems, as well as it being home to a variety of bird species, we’ll get to explore and experience one of the most serene Heritage Sites in South Africa.
In St Lucia, we’ll bring out our adventurous side with a two-hour Hippo and Crocodile Boat Cruise on the estuary. You’ll be able to snap a few photos of hippos (sometimes both in and out of the water), crocs and the birds and wildlife that make the estuary their home. There’s something to see around every turn so don’t forget to bring your binoculars and camera along.
Lunch will be enjoyed in town (own expense) and then we’ll continue along the stunning coastline towards the Dolphin Coast. In the evening, prepare for a truly delicious dinner – we want you to experience the best that KwaZulu-Natal has to offer, which is why dinner this evening will be an authentic Indian curry, which you’ll enjoy at your accommodations.
Then it’ll be time for a well-deserved night’s sleep in a comfy room. (Breakfast & Dinner Included)
Day 7: Dolphin Coast to Durban
A good breakfast starts us off on the right track. Afterwards, why not take a walk along the beach or enjoy a dip in the ocean? You’ll then get to see more of South Africa’s beautiful landscapes as we make our way towards King Shaka International Airport. We’ll stop for lunch during the drive, which will be for your own expense, and arrive at the airport between 12:00 and 14:00. (Breakfast Included)
When you enquire, you could also ask our consultants about adding on a safari at the end of this one. Our Addo to Cape Safari, for example, really does allow you to explore so much more of what South Africa has to offer.

Important Notes ↓
It is important to note that this is not a private wildlife safari and there will probably be other guests joining you on the game drive vehicles, air-conditioned mini bus transfer vehicles as well as in the dining facility.
Please note that Sunset Drive times are subject to change and availability on the day. These drives are conducted by KwaZulu-Natal Parks, by one of their rangers and in one of their vehicles. There will most likely be other guests on this drive. Children under 3 years of age are not allowed on these open game drive vehicles.
Guests flying out of King Shaka International Airport on the last day are reminded to not book any flights earlier than 17:00 in order to give us enough time to get you to the airport. We recommend that you rather stay over in Durban if possible. Since we cannot guarantee our arrival time in Durban on the last day we will not be held responsible for reimbursements of flight tickets, should we arrive later than expected.
All passport and visa requirements are the guests’ responsibility. Should your passport and visas not be in order, we will assist with arrangements in any way possible to allow you to join us again on our return to South Africa, but any such arrangements will be for your own account.
