When you book a safari with Kruger Wildlife Safaris, you stay inside the Kruger National Park. Many of our competitors use guest houses and small hotels situated outside Kruger Park, which inevitably means an early morning commute before entering the park to view animals. With us, it’s different. After your early morning cup of coffee, you depart the camp and immediately have the chance to see wild animals. Another advantage of staying inside Kruger is that it allows us to offer our guests a sunset/night drive inside the Kruger National Park whilst on safari with us.
Whilst our guides are handpicked to work with Kruger Wildlife Safaris, it’s not only us that make these claims. Previous guests who have already been on safari with us more than substantiate our claims as can be seen in the many reviews we receive on TripAdvisor and other review sites. Our guides are permanent residents in the Kruger and do safari drives every day. This gives us a unique advantage because we’re incredibly familiar with the park. Also, many animals are territorial and we get to understand their movements and know their territories, hence we generally have fantastic sightings. Follow us Facebook to see what our guests are seeing whilst on safari with us.
Getting into the Kruger National Park from O.R. Tambo International Airport can take around 5-6 hours and cost a lot extra on top of the safari you have already paid for. We subsidise our transfers quite heavily, making it as cost effective for our guests as possible when it comes to getting into the Kruger and joining us on safari. The prices you see on our website for our transfers are only valid for our guests that have booked safaris with us.
We are, as far as we are aware, the only safari operator specialising in safaris to the Kruger National Park, that can confidently make this claim. If you are a single traveller, we will depart on safari, even if its only you! This however is rare, and we average around 6-8 people per day on safari.
Single travelers will not pay a single supplement and we will not charge you anything extra to depart on safari. Every one of our competitors have single supplement charges or stipulate a minimum of two (sometimes 4!) people before they will depart on a safari. Not with Kruger Wildlife Safaris. We will leave with one person and we will not charge anything extra.
It’s important because some operators will ask you to pay for entry fees and daily conservation levies once on safari with them. Some do not include meals, some only include the drive in the park, and the rest of the costs are for your own expense. With Kruger Wildlife Safaris, you are guaranteed, that your accommodation, entry fees, conservation levies, brunch, dinner, safari drives, and even some extra excursions such as a sunset/night drive and Panorama Route tour are all included. You will, upon completing your booking, get a detailed itinerary highlighting your daily activities as well as what is included and excluded.
Having a dedicated, full time chef and our own kitchen allows us to very carefully control the quality of food that you will eat whilst on safari with us. Meals on all our safaris are plated, three course affairs and careful attention is given to local, traditional South African cuisine, presented professionally and always delicious. We also include a bottle of our own red or white wine with all dinners that get served. Thus, meals are a more personal affair, not a huge restaurant catering for the entire camp’s visitors.
Seeing wild animals, in their natural environment, from an open vehicle is a far better experience, than experiencing it in a closed vehicle/mini bus. It is, in our humble opinion, a far superior experience, and we offer it to all our guests who book safaris with us.
We have no set departure dates – we depart on safari every day, no questions asked. It’s as simple as that and it’s important because, in most cases, our guests have packed itineraries that include other areas of South Africa. So a company thats flexible in its departures, allows you, our guest, to then confidently arrange the rest of your holiday, knowing that we will accommodate your needs and depart when you want to.
Two decades, we feel, is enough time to have really perfected our offering, which is providing guests with a fantastic safari to South Africa’s Kruger National Park. We know the Kruger really well… actually very, very well, and we offer this knowledge and experience to you, our guest. Booking with us allows you the confidence of knowing that you have booked with a reputable, professional safari operator whose focus is on providing its guests with unforgettable safaris in Africa, booked by professional consultants and conducted by passionate, professional guides. You are booking your safari with a team that understands your needs.
Kruger Wildlife Safaris believes we need to give back to our communities and we also support various wildlife initiatives. In other words, you, our guest allows us to make contributions to charities and take previously disadvantaged children on safari for the very first time, and of course, allows us to contribute to various wildlife conservation organisations that protect our valuable wildlife heritage.
I went on Safari with Outlook Safaris in June last year on part of a year out. Everything about the company was perfect, even before booking everything was very well taken care of. When I initially emailed with questions I was replied to very quickly and all the information I received was very useful,Robert was very patient with me. The drivers who picked me up in Jo’Burg were very friendly and professional and made the journey up to the Kruger Park very pleasant.I stayed in the most basic accommodation provided but it had all I needed including a fan and heater because the temperature varied so much. The Skukuza Park is stunning, with beautiful birds, baboons all wandering around. The game drives were amazing.
I just want to say that this was one of the most awesome experiences I’ve had. From the moment I first arrived until the sad last day I had to leave was amazing. Moss driving our group to Kruger National Park that first morning. Not sure if it was the early hour, but everyone was quiet and either looking out of the window, listening to their ipod, or getting some more sleep. I wasn’t sure what to expect. After our first stop for gas and snack some conversations started. By the end of the trip, I really missed seeing everyone every day and sharing those wonderful memories. I had such a good time building friendships and sharing laughs. I think I enjoyed making those new friends as much as seeing all of those wonderful animals in their own environment.
Both my husband and myself have traveled extensively and have had unquestionably one of the best experiences of our lives with Outlook Safaris. The first safari we took was the Classic 7 Day Kruger Park Safari, and this January/February we enjoyed the 5 Day Explorer Safari. Both safaris were wonderful and we were able to see many of the “harder to find” animals. The staff is enthusiastic about their jobs and it shows.Their excitement is only outdone by their knowledge of the bush.I would recommend also an overnight at Outlook Lodge on your return to Johannesburg where Chef and Manager Francois will pamper you with wonderful meals. The downy beds and intimate surroundings are refreshing after a soujourn in the bush. All in all, an experience never to be missed.

An incredible company. Debbie the guide and also game driver has a wealth of knowledge and passion for the wilderness like no other. Being a single female traveller, I felt completely safe. All the staff are friendly, the meals delicious and the experience is second to none! The game drive vehicles are large enough to feel safe but small enough to have an intimate experience with the animals.
