Tambo International Airport from your Johannesburg accommodation.
What our guests have to say...
Day 1: Gauteng to Kruger National Park
Our Kruger Park & Victoria Falls safari starts in Johannesburg - which is our Kruger safari departure point. We leave the lodge between 07:30 and 08:30, but more specific information will be communicated to guests at the time of their safari.
You’ll see varied and diverse terrain on our journey, as we travel through the Highveld, with its wide open spaces, and then through the scenic and stunning Lowveld area. Along the way, we’ll stop for lunch (own expense) and arrive at Pretoriuskop Rest Camp, in the Kruger National Park, in the afternoon.
After an introduction, you’ll be shown to your accommodation before setting off on the first game drive of your Kruger Park safari. It’s a SANParks Sunset Drive, which is conducted by a Parks ranger. Your game drive takes place between the late afternoon and early evening, which is an ideal time to spot the big cats, as well a host of other interesting animals. The Park’s rangers are also allowed to return after standard gate closing times. It’s important to remember that this is not a private game drive and there may be other guests on this drive. (Children under the age of 6 years old are not permitted on open vehicle drives.)
In the evening, you’ll return to our camp for dinner. Our chefs are passionate about what they do and will create delicious meals for you to enjoy as you chat to your fellow guests about the days events. (Dinner Included)
Day 2: A Full Day in the Kruger National Park
Early mornings are part and parcel of the Kruger safari experience… and you’ll start yours with a cup of tea or coffee and snacks. After this, it’ll be time for your game drive with a seasoned safari professional. Our guides know Kruger Park well and will do their best to share all sorts of interesting information with you, during this 3 to 4 hour drive, as well as help you spot the wildlife you want to see.
When you return to camp, you’ll then enjoy a tasty, wholesome breakfast, prepared by our chefs. Afterwards, you’ll have some time at leisure to either relax in your accommodation, visit the camp swimming pool or talk a walk to the park shop, where you can peruse the various items on sale or grab some snacks.
You’ll go on your second game drive in the afternoon, which, as with all our game drives, is in a comfortable, specially-adapted, open safari vehicle. It really is the ideal way to go on a Kruger safari, while trying to find as many of the park’s magnificent animals and birds as possible.
In the evening, we’ll sit together in our Dining Tent for dinner, chat about the day’s events and listen to the sounds of the bush around us. (Breakfast & Dinner included)
Day 3: Kruger National Park to Johannesburg
We’ll start our final day in the Kruger National Park with a morning game drive, before sitting down to a tasty breakfast back at our camp. You’ll then set off for Johannesburg and stay in a 4-star lodge for the evening. (Breakfast & Dinner included)
Day 4: Johannesburg to Victoria Falls
There’s nothing like a delicious breakfast to start your morning. After this, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Victoria Falls (own arrangements). When you arrive there, you’ll then be transferred to your hotel.
After you check in and settle into your accommodations, you’ll go on a Sunset Dinner Cruise on the incredible and beautiful, Zambezi River. Please note that this cruise includes a set menu for dinner and local drinks, and is around 3 hours long. (Breakfast & dinner included. If you decide not to do the sunset cruise, dinner is at your own expense as it is part of the activity package)
Day 5: Enjoying Victoria Falls
You’ll spend this day exploring and making the most of your time at Victoria Falls. There are several activities on offer in the area, including a tour of the falls, helicopter flights (not included) as well as various adrenaline-filled activities to satisfy your inner adventurer. All these activities can be pre-booked upon request.
In the evening, you’ll enjoy dinner at The Boma, where you can expect truly-African entertainment and a taste of authentic and delicious cuisine in the form of a buffet. (Breakfast & Dinner included)
Day 6: Victoria Falls to Johannesburg
After a great night’s sleep, you’ll have time for one optional activity (not included) in the morning, before your transfer to the airport. Your flight to Johannesburg is expected to arrive in the mid-afternoon. You’ll then be able to stay in transit and later catch your flight home. (Breakfast included)
