Safari Overview ↓
Go on our unforgettable 5 Day Classic Kruger Park Safari and enjoy the chance to see elephant, buffalo, lion, hippo, leopard, hyena, kudu, giraffe, zebra and so much more on seven open vehicle kruger park safaris, which gives you the opportunity to see nocturnal African wildlife, too. There are, however, never any guarantees so the more time you spend on a kruger park safaris, the better!
Delicious breakfasts and dinners also give you ample time to get to know your fellow travelers and exchange stories. At night, we relax and listen to the sounds of the bush around us.
What to Expect ↓
Day 1: Gauteng to Kruger National Park
We leave on your Kruger National Park safari in the early morning. The route to your African safari takes us through the Highveld with vast, wide open spaces, down the escarpment and through the beautiful Lowveld area. En-route to the Kruger National Park, we stop for lunch (own expense).
After settling into your accommodation, you will go out on your first Kruger safari -. This drive affords you the opportunity to see the nocturnal Kruger wildlife. The Kruger Park’s rangers are allowed to return after the normal gate closing times, and because this is not a private Kruger safari, other guests may be joining you on this drive. (Please note that children younger than 6 years of age are not permitted on open vehicle drives.)
Dinner will then be served, will then be served at our camp in the evening.
Days 2, 3 and 4: A Full Day in the Kruger National Park
Kruger Park safaris are all about getting up early, going out there and seeing the wildlife! The time you go on your safari varies according to the seasons and camp gate opening times. We have tea or coffee as well as snacks before departing on the game drive, which usually takes approximately 3 to 4 hours. Your guide has an intimate knowledge of the Kruger National Park, which contributes a great deal towards brilliant sightings!
It’s the perfect opportunity to see the Kruger National Park in a completely new and unique way, and is a must-do.
When you return to camp, brunch will be ready. You’ll then have time to enjoy a swim, visit Kruger Park’s shop, where you can find African curios, general food items and drinks, take a walk around the camp, or simply relax in your chalet. Be sure to bring your binoculars along too as Kruger Park is a bird watcher’s paradise!
After this, we'll set off on your afternoon Kruger safari, all of which are conducted in specially-adapted, open game drive vehicles to allow our guests the best viewing experience. We then share African safari stories with other guests after a delicious dinner, served at our camp.
(Breakfast & Dinner included)
Day 5: Kruger National Park to Gauteng
The final day of your Kruger Park safari is your final chance to see the Big 5 animals that you haven't as yet. After breakfast, we head back to Johannesburg. The transfer back takes at least 6 hours and guests are advised to sleep over in Johannesburg on this night. (Breakfast included)
Morning Walk
A walk in the Kruger Park affords you the opportunity to experience the bush from a totally different perspective. You really do get up close and personal with Africa's wild animals, insects, trees and birds. Qualified trail guides take you on a 3-hour walk where there is chance you could come across Africa's Big 5 on foot. Please be advised however, the focus is not on Big 5 encounters, but rather smaller and often very interesting aspects of the bush that only a walk can offer. This activity is available at no extra charge but needs to be pre-booked with your consultant when you confirm your safari with us. This activity is dependent on availability.

Important Notes ↓
On our Kruger Classic Safaris, we make use of facilities and accommodation situated inside the Kruger National Park and do not stay outside Kruger, unless forced to do so because of availability.
It is important to note that this is not a private safari and there will probably be other guests joining you on the game drive vehicles, air-conditioned mini bus transfer vehicles as well as in the dining facility.
Please note that Sunset Drive times are subject to change and availability on the day. These drives are conducted by one of their rangers and in one of their vehicles. There will most likely be other guests on this drive. Children under 6 years of age are not allowed on open safari vehicles.
Although we welcome children on our Kruger Park safaris, we reserve the right not to allow younger children on our normal game drives. This will entirely be at the guide’s discretion and is done to ensure a pleasurable Kruger safari for all our guests (including the parents). Should this be the case, a bush bumble (kiddies game drive) will be conducted after the normal game drive, especially for the kids. We do not offer babysitting services and, as such, one of the parents will have to stay behind to watch the children. Private safaris for families can be arranged at an extra charge.
Guests flying out of O.R. Tambo International Airport on the last day are reminded to not book any flights earlier than 19:00 (domestic) or 20:00 (international) in order to give us enough time to get you to the airport. We recommend that you rather stay over in Johannesburg if possible. Since we cannot guarantee our arrival time in Johannesburg on the last day, we will not be held responsible for reimbursements of flight tickets, should we arrive later than expected. Private transfers for guests with early flights can be arranged in advance, at an extra charge.
