Getting you to and from and airport and the National Parks in safety and comfort is essential. That’s why our transfers make use of a 12-seater bus, while game drives are conducted in open safari vehicles, ensuring that our guests enjoy a substantial view of the amazing wildlife that they’ll come across on the drive.
Day 1: Gauteng to Kruger National Park
We leave from Johannesburg between 06:00 and 07:00 to allow for various collection points. Our route to your epic Kruger wildlife safari takes us through the wide open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld area. We stop for lunch en-route (own expense) and reach Kruger Park in the afternoon.
After settling into our accommodations, we head out on our first Kruger safari! We conduct all our game drives in specially adapted 4×4 open safari vehicles to allow our guests the best possible vantage point. On our return, we have some time to Kruger Park’s shop, go for a walk and just familiarise ourselves with our surroundings.
Dinner is served al fresco at our camp, and wine is served with dinner. Guests are, however, welcome to bring along additional/alternative drinks which can be purchased at Kruger Park’s shop.
Days 2 & 3: A Full Day in the Kruger Park
Kruger safaris are all about early mornings, and getting out there and seeing the animals! The time you go on your wildlife safari varies according to the seasons and camp gate opening times. We have tea or coffee with snacks before departing on the game drive. This will take approximately 3 to 4 hours. Even better, your guide has an intimate knowledge of the Kruger National Park, which contributes a great deal towards brilliant sightings!
On your return to camp, brunch will be ready. You’ll then have time to enjoy a swim, visit Kruger Park’s shop, which includes African curios, general food items and drinks, relax in your chalet or take a walk around the camp.
After your leisure time, we set off on your afternoon Kruger wildlife safari. We conduct all our Kruger safaris in specially adapted 4×4 open game drive vehicles to allow our guests the best possible vantage point. We then share African safari stories under the stars after a scrumptious dinner, served at our camp.
(Breakfast & Dinner included)
Day 4: Kruger National Park to Swaziland
The sun rises over our final day in the Kruger National Park and we embark on one last Kruger safari in the hopes of finding the wildlife that haven’t seen as yet. We enjoy breakfast en-route.
From Kruger Park, we continue on to the landlocked Kingdom of Swaziland. The variation in landscape is magnificent to behold as we move into a mountainous region. On the way there, we’ll grab a bite to eat (own expense).
Our evening will be spent in one of the Swaziland Royal National Parks, where all the animals belong to the king. You’ll then get to enjoy dinner under the stars while sharing travel stories around the fire.
(Breakfast & Dinner included)
Day 5: Swaziland to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve
After a filling breakfast, we head for KwaZulu-Natal. We’ll, again, stop for lunch (own expense) en-route to the Hilltop Camp at the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve.
Once we get there, you’ll go on an afternoon game drive, and your guide will then prepare dinner for you to enjoy under the stars (weather permitting) afterwards.
Day 6: A Day in Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve
This day is all about searching for the wildlife that you have not seen as yet, whether that be the Big 5 or other animals, like bush buck and nyala!
After dinner, you’ll join a Sunset Drive in an open 4×4 vehicle with a KwaZulu-Natal Parks guide, which gives you the opportunity to see nocturnal African wildlife.
(Breakfast & Dinner included)
Day 7: Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve to Dolphin Coast
After a morning wildlife safari in a closed vehicle with our guide, we head to the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a remarkable World Heritage Site!
When we arrive at St Lucia, we will also join a two-hour Hippo and Crocodile Boat Cruise on the St Lucia Estuary. Many crocodiles, hippos and birds make the estuary their home and you will have ample opportunities to capture these sights on your camera.
AAfter lunch at one of the restaurants there (own expense), we head to the Dolphin Coast. Accommodation here is in rooms with en suite bathrooms, and we’ll enjoy dinner in the area as well.
(Breakfast & Dinner included)
Day 8: Dolphin Coast to Durban
After breakfast, you can enjoy a dip in the warm Indian Ocean or simply walk along the shore. We then head to King Shaka International Airport and stop en-route to enjoy lunch (own expense). We plan to arrive between 12:00 and 14:00.
From here, guests can fly to various other cities in the country or enjoy an additional safari, like perhaps our Addo to Cape Safari. Ask one of our consultants about this.

Wonderful 3 Day Safari
I went on Safari with Outlook Safaris in June last year on part of a year out. Everything about the company was perfect, even before booking everything was very well taken care of. When I initially emailed with questions I was replied to very quickly and all the information I received was very useful, Robert was very patient with me. The drivers who picked me up in Jo’Burg were very friendly and professional and made the journey up to the Kruger Park very pleasant. I stayed in the most basic accommodation provided but it had all I needed including a fan and heater because the temperature varied so much. The Skukuza Park is stunning, with beautiful birds, baboons all wandering around. The game drives were amazing.
I just want to say that this was one of the most awesome experiences I’ve had. From the moment I first arrived until the sad last day I had to leave was amazing. Moss driving our group to Kruger National Park that first morning. Not sure if it was the early hour, but everyone was quiet and either looking out of the window, listening to their ipod, or getting some more sleep. I wasn’t sure what to expect. After our first stop for gas and snack some conversations started. By the end of the trip, I really missed seeing everyone every day and sharing those wonderful memories. I had such a good time building friendships and sharing laughs. I think I enjoyed making those new friends as much as seeing all of those wonderful animals in their own environment.

Both my husband and myself have traveled extensively and have had unquestionably one of the best experiences of our lives with Outlook Safaris. The first safari we took was the Classic 7 Day Kruger Park Safari, and this January/February we enjoyed the 5 Day Explorer Safari. Both safaris were wonderful and we were able to see many of the “harder to find” animals. The staff is enthusiastic about their jobs and it shows. Their excitement is only outdone by their knowledge of the bush.I would recommend also an overnight at Outlook Lodge on your return to Johannesburg where Chef and Manager Francois will pamper you with wonderful meals. The downy beds and intimate surroundings are refreshing after a soujourn in the bush. All in all, an experience never to be missed.

An Incredible Company
An incredible company. Debbie the guide and also game driver has a wealth of knowledge and passion for the wilderness like no other. Being a single female traveller, I felt completely safe. All the staff are friendly, the meals delicious and the experience is second to none! The game drive vehicles are large enough to feel safe but small enough to have an intimate experience with the animals.

4 Day Safari Wonder
We just finished a 4 day safari and had a wonderful time. Our guide Joostie was a riot. It was completely worry- free and that was exactly what we were looking for. Outlook Safaris took care of everything.
