Explore not only the iSimangaliso Wetland Park and the province of KwaZulu-Natal, but the impressive and well-known Kruger National Park and the landlocked Kingdom of Swaziland as well, with this safari.
Our 7 Day Kruger, Swaziland and KwaZulu-Natal Safari gives you ample opportunities to explore these sites on foot, by boat and on game drives, too! Plus an optional excursion on horseback can be arranged on the eastern shores of Lake St Lucia for those that would like to add something extra to their safari.
Accommodation On A Kruger, Swaziland and KwaZulu-Natal Safari
Vehicles Used On A Kruger, Swaziland and KwaZulu-Natal Safari
We’ve carefully selected the best possible vehicles to use for the different aspects of your Kruger, Swaziland and KwaZulu-Natal Safari. Getting to and from the airport will be a breeze in a 12-seater bus and you’ll have an extensive view of the wildlife on your game drives in our open safari vehicles.
Day 1: Gauteng to Kruger Park
When you embark on our 7 Day Kruger, Swaziland and KwaZulu-Natal safari, we’ll do pick-ups and leave our departure point in Johannesburg between 06:00 and 07:00. The drive to the Kruger National Park takes us past open fields and lush landscapes and mountains. We do stop for lunch (for your own expense) at some point and are scheduled to arrive at the Kruger in the afternoon.
You’ll have a chance to settle into your room and freshen up, and shortly after that, it’ll be time to go on your first game drive and Kruger wildlife safari. Get ready to spot many of the Kruger’s majestic wildlife and bird species, all while getting to know your fellow guests.
In the evening, our chefs will delight you with a fantastic dinner menu, accompanied by a fine glass of red wine. If you’d like to purchase any alternative drinks, the shop at the camp has a great selection. (Dinner Included)
Day 2: A Full Day in the Kruger National Park
We’ll wake up bright and early on this day in order to catch the wildlife out and about, while on our game drive. Better still, watching the sun light up the Kruger is a special sighting in itself! There will be tea and coffee available to enjoy before the drive as well as a snack. Depending on what the time the gates open, which varies from season to season, we’ll embark on a three to four-hour long game drive. During that time, you’ll get to learn about the Kruger, the wildlife and the various bird species that can be found in the park.
After the game drive, brunch will be served back at our camp. You can never have too much leisure time on a holiday and our safaris are no different – there’s plenty to do around the camp, including walking around and exploring it, catching a nap in your room or paying a visit to the curio shop.
In the afternoon, it’ll be time for your second Kruger wildlife safari for the day, in our 4×4 open game drive vehicles. You’ll end your day with a superb dinner and some light-hearted conversation with your fellow guests, before turning in for the night. (Breakfast & Dinner Included)
Day 3: Kruger National Park to Swaziland
On this morning in the Kruger National Park, we’ll wake up early and embark on one last safari in search of the Big 5 or any other wildlife that you have not yet seen. Breakfast will be enjoyed on the road, as we make our way to the scenic and majestic Swaziland.
The drive takes us past beautiful mountainous terrain, urban areas, open fields and more! We’ll also have the opportunity to stop for lunch en-route (own expense).
We’ll be staying in one of Swaziland’s stunning National Parks on this day – an exciting and unique lodging experience indeed. Dinner is sure to be a delicious affair, and you’ll be able to get to know your fellow guests better, while chatting about your favourite part of the trip thus far. (Breakfast & Dinner Included)
Day 4: Swaziland to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve
After a restful sleep, we’ll say goodbye to this culturally-rich destination and head to South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal province. Driving past open bush areas and picturesque hills and fields, the next stop on our journey will be the Hilltop Camp at Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve.
Keep those eyes peeled and be sure to have your binoculars and camera ready during your afternoon safari – there’s plenty of majestic animals to see in this reserve. It’ll then be time for dinner, served under the starry and bright African sky (weather permitting).
Day 5: A Day in Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve
You’ll get to make the most of your time in the reserve today with an awesome wildlife safari. From the Big 5 to cheetah, kudu, zebra, giraffe and the wonderful birdlife, you’re sure to experience several unforgettable sightings.
Sunset Drives are truly amazing and, after dinner, you’ll get to go on one with a KwaZulu-Natal Parks guide. They’re conducted in their open, 4×4 vehicles and the drive gives you the chance to try and spot the wildlife that are most active towards the end of the day. (Breakfast & Dinner Included)
Day 6: Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve to Dolphin Coast
We’ll start our day with a morning safari with our guide, in a closed vehicle. Then it’s on to the iSimangaliso Wetland Park – a place of miracle and wonder. With lake systems and ecosystems, as well as it being home to a variety of bird species, we’ll get to explore and experience one of the most serene Heritage Sites in South Africa.
In St Lucia, we’ll bring out our adventurous side with a two-hour Hippo and Crocodile Boat Cruise on the estuary. You’ll be able to snap a few photos of hippos (sometimes both in and out of the water), crocs and the birds and wildlife that make the estuary their home. There’s something to see around every turn so don’t forget to bring your binoculars and camera along.
Lunch will be enjoyed in town (own expense) and then we’ll continue along the stunning coastline towards the Dolphin Coast. In the evening, prepare for a truly delicious dinner and a well-deserved night’s sleep in a comfy room. (Breakfast & Dinner Included)
Day 7: Dolphin Coast to Durban
A good breakfast starts us off on the right track. Afterwards, why not take a walk along the beach or enjoy a dip in the ocean? You’ll then get to see more of South Africa’s beautiful landscapes as we make our way towards King Shaka International Airport. We’ll stop for lunch during the drive, which will be for your own expense, and arrive at the airport between 12:00 and 14:00. (Breakfast Included)
When you enquire, you could also ask our consultants about adding on a safari at the end of this one. Our Addo to Cape Safari, for example, really does allow you to explore so much more of what South Africa has to offer.

Wonderful 3 Day Safari
I went on Safari with Outlook Safaris in June last year on part of a year out. Everything about the company was perfect, even before booking everything was very well taken care of. When I initially emailed with questions I was replied to very quickly and all the information I received was very useful, Robert was very patient with me. The drivers who picked me up in Jo’Burg were very friendly and professional and made the journey up to the Kruger Park very pleasant. I stayed in the most basic accommodation provided but it had all I needed including a fan and heater because the temperature varied so much. The Skukuza Park is stunning, with beautiful birds, baboons all wandering around. The game drives were amazing.
I just want to say that this was one of the most awesome experiences I’ve had. From the moment I first arrived until the sad last day I had to leave was amazing. Moss driving our group to Kruger National Park that first morning. Not sure if it was the early hour, but everyone was quiet and either looking out of the window, listening to their ipod, or getting some more sleep. I wasn’t sure what to expect. After our first stop for gas and snack some conversations started. By the end of the trip, I really missed seeing everyone every day and sharing those wonderful memories. I had such a good time building friendships and sharing laughs. I think I enjoyed making those new friends as much as seeing all of those wonderful animals in their own environment.

Both my husband and myself have traveled extensively and have had unquestionably one of the best experiences of our lives with Outlook Safaris. The first safari we took was the Classic 7 Day Kruger Park Safari, and this January/February we enjoyed the 5 Day Explorer Safari. Both safaris were wonderful and we were able to see many of the “harder to find” animals. The staff is enthusiastic about their jobs and it shows. Their excitement is only outdone by their knowledge of the bush.I would recommend also an overnight at Outlook Lodge on your return to Johannesburg where Chef and Manager Francois will pamper you with wonderful meals. The downy beds and intimate surroundings are refreshing after a soujourn in the bush. All in all, an experience never to be missed.

An Incredible Company
An incredible company. Debbie the guide and also game driver has a wealth of knowledge and passion for the wilderness like no other. Being a single female traveller, I felt completely safe. All the staff are friendly, the meals delicious and the experience is second to none! The game drive vehicles are large enough to feel safe but small enough to have an intimate experience with the animals.

4 Day Safari Wonder
We just finished a 4 day safari and had a wonderful time. Our guide Joostie was a riot. It was completely worry- free and that was exactly what we were looking for. Outlook Safaris took care of everything.
